Ideally by 10th or 11th grade. At minimum, begin by junior year so there's enough time for testing and college research. We've also helped seniors in the fall of 12th grade. Earlier is better, but it's never too late.
Test-optional means a college doesn't require test scores, but a strong score can still help if submitted. If your teen is likely to score well, we encourage taking the exams. If not, we focus on grades, essays, and recommendations.
